Once again, we are happy to let you know we remain COVID-free!
We have had MANY requests from family members and friends to take loved ones home for dinner, out to a restaurant, shopping, etc. We totally understand - we miss our parents, too; but we must remain diligent and resist the temptation to do these things too soon.
the Virus is still out there
. The senior population is the most vulnerable population for this
virus to attack. The state has opened up more of the economy with Phase 2, which means a greater number of people are coming together, thereby creating even greater risk.
trying to open up at The Saybrook at Haddam. The podiatrist visited (in full PPE) Monday, 6/22, and is coming back on 6/30. Our goal for the beginning of July is to begin small group activities, reopen the dining room in a limited fashion, and have our beloved hairdresser, Maria, return. We'll keep you posted as things develop.
On Monday, June 29th, we are implementing staff testing as per the governor's latest mandate and Department of Public Health guidelines.
This has been a challenging few months for everyone. Please know that we are continuing to provide the best care for your loved ones. Our infection control protocols are stronger than ever.
