Special Announcement
The Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio FCCLA Association are pleased to announce Alyssa Bregel, who has been promoted to Assistant Director in the Office of Career-Technical Education. In her new role, Alyssa will serve as the state supervisor of Family and Consumer Sciences, Hospitality and Tourism and Education and Training.

Alyssa is a familiar face to the Department of Education and the Ohio Career-Technical Education community. After teaching agriculture at Danville Local Schools for five years, she served as a Program Specialist at the department since 2018, where she supported educators and administrators in delivering high quality programming.

During her tenure in the Office of Career-Technical Education, she has made a number of valuable contributions:
  • Served as a team lead in creating and implementing a professional development series for all new Career-Technical Educators.
  • Co-organized a national conference for post-secondary and state staff who support beginning agriculture teachers.
  • Played an active role in the creation and implementation of the Ohio FFA Agricultural Biotechnology Career Development Event.

Alyssa, her husband, Andy, and daughter, Annabelle, live on a small farm in Licking County where they enjoy raising sheep and vegetables. She holds an Associate of Science Degree from The Ohio State University, Agricultural Technical Institute and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from The Ohio State University.

Alyssa will officially start her new role on July 19. She is looking forward to continuing to provide positive and equitable opportunities for students across Ohio in all aspects of Career-Technical Education.

The Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio FCCLA Association are excited to have Alyssa’s guidance and input to further Career-Technical Education in Ohio.
Alumni & Associates
Ohio FCCLA is proud to announce the return of the Ohio FCCLA Alumni Association! The association consists of former FCCLA members, Executive Council members and advisers who want to continue making a difference long after their time in the organization comes to an end. Alumni will volunteer to help local chapters prepare for competitions, facilitate workshops and events and even work backstage at the State Leadership Conference! Membership is completely voluntary; you can help as much or as little as you want. Anyone who was a member or adviser of Ohio FCCLA, Ohio FHA or FHA/HERO is eligible to join us. Membership is FREE!

Our goal is to hit the ground running with 50 registered alumni by August 1, 2021. Graduating seniors, you can help us achieve this goal by signing up today!
