FCCLA Outreach Program and Graduation Credential

The Lead4Change Student Leadership Program is a Leadership Curriculum with a Framework for Community Service. Aligned to education standards and 21st century skills, Lead4Change will create a transformation in your students and real change in your community.

Since FCCLA’s partnership started in 2015, FCCLA students have donated more than 180,000 volunteer hours in many service areas, including children, seniors, animals, schools, communities and global initiatives. Lead4Change lessons are inspired by the leadership principles from the book Taking People with You by David Novak. In the fall of 2022, Lead4Change will become a 3- point credential for all career fields.

Franklin Covey FCCLA Leadership Academy: PILOT PROGRAM CONTINUING IN 2022-2023

In partnership with FranklinCovey, FCCLA is launching a unique pilot program for a limited number of members utilizing an interactive learning management system. FranklinCovey Leader in Me® materials offer self-paced, on demand courses that can be used as leader-led trainings or as standalone learning options. The Leader in Me® learning platform’s Student Leadership Courses provides members with in-depth training on the life-readiness skills that will benefit them as members and throughout their life.

FCCLA will require members participating in the Leadership Academy to begin with the Life Readiness course, Leading Your Life, as it takes students through an in-depth look into the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens and is the foundation of all the courses. The additional courses within the platform will be available at a future date as we continue the Leadership Academy program. To learn more about each of these courses, please visit the website.
Retake Policy
WebXam end-of-course assessments may be retaken in the same school year by any Career-Technical Education student currently enrolled or previously enrolled in a course with a testing requirement. Students should be provided an opportunity to retest after allowing for additional instruction time. This enhances opportunities for students to demonstrate technical skills attainment for the purpose of graduation and report cards. The policy for WebXam same-year retakes includes:

  • Students may take an end-of-course test no more than twice per academic school year (each school year begins July 1 and ends June 30).
  • A retake must be scheduled at least 30 days after the previous assessment was performed.
  • Field tests may not be retaken due to the length of the tests and earlier closing of the field test window.
