Executive Council Candidates

Executive Council Members are equipped with skills for life as members take responsibility in planning and implementing state and regional programming and events. Any affiliated member who is enthusiastic, innovative, futuristic, active, committed and passionate for FCCLA, we have an opportunity for you. Being an Executive Council member is a fantastic opportunity to learn, make new friends, and strengthen your communication, travel and leadership skills. March 27 - Virtual Interviews - time frame will be 9:00 - 11:30 and 1:00 - 3:00

State Leadership Conference
State Leadership Conference will be virtual this year. All chapters and members participating in CDE state competition or receiving recognition awards must register for the conference. There will be RED Talks, Spotlight on Projects, Professional Development for advisers, keynotes and College and Industry Fair along with recognition sessions. There will be an opportunity to meet the regional, state and National Executive Councils as well as the Executive Council Candidates. Details will be available in March.
Programming
Family & Consumer Science CTE-26 Application Renewals

The application window for the FY2022-2026 program period closes March 1, 2021, for all new and renewal Career-Technical Education provider applications. Renewals are only for those approved applications that will expire at the end of the FY17-21 program period. All CTE-26 provider applications renew on the year they expire. Most of the Family and Consumer Science applications are due to expire and shall be renewed this year.

Please visit the CTE-26 process page for additional resources. For technical assistance while applying, schools and districts may contact their Ohio College Tech Prep Regional Centers.

Ohio Tech Prep Regional Centers have planned CTE-26 provider application workshops for schools who are renewing or adding new Career-Technical Education programs for the FY2022 school year. Please see contact information for your regions below:

Lifesavers is the largest gathering of highway safety professionals in the United States. In 2021, the Lifesavers Virtual Conference will provide a global platform with over 70 virtual workshops, plenary sessions, peer exchange discussion groups, and an extensive interactive exhibit hall. The Lifesavers Conference will virtually engage federal, state and local government; law enforcement; public health; injury prevention; advocacy and non-profit agency professionals in an exchange of ideas, strategies, and programs to reduce these preventable injuries and deaths.

They have invited Kay-Lynne Schaller, Allen Zhu and Violet Lowe to be on the panel to share more about their FACTS project. The event will be hosted virtually from April 26-28, 2021. Title: Youth Advocates for Safe Systems: Changing Cities and Changing Mindsets

Description: This session will feature youth who have led advocacy projects that support strategies for safer systems for bicycle and pedestrian safety. These youth safety advocates will share what they have learned to work most effectively in engaging their peers and provide suggestions on how to engage youth in your communities. Congratulations on representing Ohio at this national conference.
