FCCLA has determined that as a non-profit youth leadership organization, we have a unique opportunity to support the advocacy efforts of our members and FCCLA’s commitment to our role in ending systemic racism. Therefore, to support and sustain the momentum of the youth advocacy voice in this movement, FCCLA is providing the new youth leadership and advocacy National Program, Stand Up, free of charge to all chapters that affiliate by November 1, 2020. Once a chapter is affiliated, the new Stand Up program resource will be added to the chapter’s “Resource” tab within the FCCLA portal for use during the 2020-2021 school year.
Through offering this resource to our members, we hope to remove any financial barriers of
access and provide a resource that will empower our members to
advocate effectively in their communities. Through engagement in Stand Up, youth plan and
execute meaningful advocacy campaigns to raise their voices and move our nation forward to meet the expectations of the FCCLA creed.
