WebXam End of Course Testing and CTAG Credit
The Ohio General Assembly waived this year’s state testing requirements, including WebXams, in order to protect the health and safety of students. Ohio’s Career-Technical Education associations voiced concerns about students’ ability to receive earned post-secondary Career-Technical Assurance Guide (CTAG) credit, because passing scores on WebXam assessments are needed for students to be eligible for articulated credit when they matriculate at one of Ohio’s public higher education institutions. For more information.

*Teaching Professions Educators: The course grade meets the CTAG requirements for the Portfolio and End of Course Test.
CTAG Verification
There is a new verification for CTAGS this year. Please go to this link to access The CTAV info is currently all housed at ODHE.

OATFACS Summer Conference Cancelled
OATFACS has always focused on serving the best interests of all FCS teachers in meeting their needs for professional development.

It is with sincere regret we announce the cancellation of our annual meeting and conference scheduled for August 3-4, 2020 at the Marriott Columbus Northwest.

With the uncertainty related to Covid-19, and the unfortunate budget cuts to Ohio education, we recognize both the risk and difficulty in gathering everyone together at this time. However, this does not mean we have abandoned our purpose in providing quality professional development this year.

OATFACS Board members remain committed to helping all FCS teachers provide high quality teaching and learning and are in the process of developing plans for online programming to fill the void created with this cancellation.

Please continue to watch this newsletter and your school email for future announcements regarding these options. We wish everyone good health, a smooth ending to the current school year and a summer of rest and rejuvenation!
