Ohio's 6th Annual Early Childhood Education Summit
This year we are excited to offer this VIRTUAL event to support teacher preparation programs. Sessions will occur over three days. Participants are able to customize the Summit appearance by attending the days that meet their professional development needs. More information.
Virtual Career Development Events
This year the CDE Committee recommended that all regional and state events be moved to virtual so that teachers will not have to change in the middle of the year from in person to virtual. The committee also recommended that the CDE’s be revamped while following Nationals criteria but also making them Ohio specific.

All thirty-seven events have been revamped and will be posted on or before the end of September. The events will be posted on the website until November 1 after that you must be an affiliated member to have access to Ohio CDE’s they will be found in the affiliation portal.

In addition, there will be a test that all participants must take prior to evaluation. If it is a team event all three must take the test individually then the scores will be averaged (total of 20 points). We have also extended the registration deadline to January 15. That will be the final cut off and absolutely no late registrations. The evaluation process and timeline will be announced at a later date.
FCCLA Calendar Update
After reviewing the survey of administrators in August the Board of Directors gave consensus that all regional and state events be delivered through a virtual model through January 1. In November we will resurvey the administrators to get feedback on events for the rest of the year.

As always the Ohio Department of education and Ohio FCCLA are committed to protecting the health, safety and welfare of all of its members and advisers while providing equitable opportunities for Ohio FCCLA members for the remaining year.
