Celebrate a special occasion and join us in honoring Pastor Kenny Newsome and his wife Mary Dale, who are saying farewell after 45 years in the ministry and sixteen years of service to Pender United Methodist Church and the community.
The Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) and members of PUMC will host a farewell reception for Kenny and Mary Dale on Sunday, October 29
th at 12:00 noon in the PUMC Fellowship Hall. The reception will follow the 11:00 am service and will feature a light buffet-style lunch, with sandwiches, desserts and beverages. We hope you, your families, and friends will attend and help us celebrate Kenny and Mary Dale in honor of Kenny’s countless contributions of spiritual guidance, biblical teaching, healing, and pastoral comfort and care, and to wish them love and peace in their new surroundings.
Should you desire to give the Newsomes a gift, you may make a “Love Offering” on their behalf. Cards and cash gifts can be given at the reception, or online through your My Pender Page Online Giving account, or in your weekly offering envelope. Just identify your gift as, “Love Offering.” (Note: this can be found online under the “Miscellaneous Offering” giving option).
We also encourage you to bring a picture of yourself and/or your family to give to the Newsomes, that they may take with them a lasting memory of you. Also, if you have any pictures of, or with the Newsomes that you’d like to share in our video presentation during the reception you can email pictures to Steve Hocker.
