Farewell to Charlotte B. Nelson –

A Legacy of Love and Equality

Long-time Iowa CareGivers’ Board Member and Advisor, Charlotte B. Nelson, passed away on July 9, 2023, in Chicago, IL. To read more about her extraordinary life, view her obituary here. We extend condolences to not only Charlotte’s family but to everyone who knew and loved her. She was a tireless advocate for the underserved including direct care workers. She touched the lives of so many people through her intelligence, compassion, and wit! We feel her loss and are grateful she was part of our lives. She will remain in our hearts.

Iowa CareGivers is very grateful to Charlotte and her family for designating memorials to the organization. Iowa CareGivers is working with Charlotte's family to establish the Charlotte B.
