To all present and past members of ACE Tennis.

July 31, 2021 marked the last day of Craig Mercer’s association with ACE Tennis and its parent company All Canadian Sport Management. Craig and his family will be leaving Toronto to take over as the Tennis Director for the prestigious Arbutus Club in Vancouver.

Craig has a lifetime affiliation with All Canadian. First as a summer camper who went on to become one of Canada’s top juniors. After university he developed a management company in Montreal with his good friend Ricky Twyman. We never forgot Craig’s complete dedication to his game coupled with a great personality that reflected his Newfoundland roots. With his parents living in Toronto, we recruited Craig to become the ACE Tennis Academy Director in Burlington.

All Canadian and ACE Tennis expanded a few years later to Toronto and created the Toronto Tennis City club in Davisville. Craig was chosen to lead this project as Tennis Director for the whole club supervising the ACE Tennis Academy and the adult membership section of the club. He also served as assistant manager of the club under manager Michael Zimmerman.

Craig is universally well liked by all the players he has worked with, the adult members of the club, his peers and the coaches he supervised. The last three years Craig has been instrumental in leading All Canadian’s efforts in the management and operations of six community clubs in Ontario.

In all families the departure of a close member always creates the feeling of loss. However, our loss is a gain for the circle of influence he will create in British Columbia. And we also gain a sense of gratitude for what Craig has brought to all of us associated with him over the years.

From all of us, Craig we are proud of you, thank you for your loyal contribution and may your path continue to be impactful to those around you. You will be forever a member of our family.

One love,

Pierre Lamarche
