A Message from the Little Flower Administration:
Good Morning, Little Flower Families –

It is hard to believe or imagine that we have made it through a year now of reinventing what we do in the education business.  We’ve had to learn how to learn again.  We’ve had to learn how to build community.  We’ve had to learn how to grow when the conditions didn’t favor it.  To all those challenges, Little Flower embraced opportunities and forged ahead with plans for more wide-ranging curriculum, improved COVID ready facilities’ upgrades, intensive teacher training, summer readiness and enrichment programs, and increased focus and intervention to our students’ spiritual, emotional and social well-being.  Our work in the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) space leads the other AOP schools, as does our action on articulating a Diversity Equity and Inclusion Plan that is rooted in our mission and Gospel values.  We are pilgrims on a journey into a new frontier and I am proud to walk these steps with you, our partner school leaders.

I am happy to share some upcoming events with you and your young women, so that they can start to consider next steps in their education journey.

Tomorrow our young women in grades 9-11 will have the opportunity meet one of 11 possible college representatives.   Following that, our students will engage in a town hall meeting, guided by non-faculty facilitators from Thom Stecher Associates, to lend voice to what they are feeling as we move through this year.  See links here: TOWN HALL ZOOM LINK

This is a critical time for students to give a last push to finish academically strong for the 2020-21 school year.  To facilitate more intensive opportunities for student support, we are encouraging students to come into the building on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 to provide a learning space where they can work undisturbed and be monitored.  Lunch will be served.  Please sign in here:  SIGN UP FORM

All students will return to school on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 on a ‘B’ day.

Class Celebrations:
April 30, 2021 – Class of 2024 630-930pm
May 7, 2021 – Class of 2023 630-930pm
May 12, 2021 – Class of 2022 630-930pm
May 20, 2021 – Class of 2021 Senior Event at PenRyn Ballroom

As of this writing, there were 125 young women in our incoming Class of 2025, which puts us 20 students ahead of last year’s pace.  There are 70 transfers in rising grades 10-11-12 who will join them in Fall 2021.  Little Flower is the clearly the school of choice for the young women of Philadelphia.  I ask for your help in helping lead your families to this extraordinary educational opportunity at 1000 W. Lycoming Street.  There is ample financial aid available.

The path over this last year has been dark at times, but LF never Lost her Footing.  As we come out of the dormancy of the Lenten Season into the light of the Easter Season, please accept our collective prayers for your restoration, fortitude, well-being and safety.

Gratefully -
The Little Flower Administrative Team

A Message from the Guidance Department:
Little Flower Families-

We need your help! Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls has an opportunity for the children who really need extra academic support to receive it through the Title I program under Every Student Succeeds Act, but we cannot do it without YOU! These extra services will only come to the children if you fill out the survey.

In order to determine the funding available for this wonderful program, we must have an accurate count of children from low-income families. I want to assure you that your privacy will be protected and that no names are required on the family survey form. Only addresses and grade levels are provided to your specific school district so that they can determine the funding for the Title I program for the eligible children.

You can complete the survey online by clicking this family survey link.
