Texas Farm Fresh Jump with Jill Live Tour!
 

The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) is bringing back the Texas Farm Fresh Jump with Jill Live Tour nutrition education assemblies. 

Jill and her rock 'n' roll DJ will thrill students at 16 elementary school campuses across the western regions of Texas this month!

 The Texas Farm Fresh Jump with Jill Live Tour teaches young Texans about nutrition and Texas agriculture using music and physical activity to reinforce key messages. The 2018 TDA Farm Fresh Jump with Jill Live Tour kicked off on September 28 at the State Fair of Texas. The school assemblies will take place during October. Expanding 3E's Grant Opening Soon!

TDA Grant Opportunity to Expand the Farm Fresh Initiative in Schools

Are you looking for ways to expand farm to school activities at your school campus or district? This fall, the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) will be accepting applications for the Expanding the 3E's Nutrition Education Grant (X3E).

 Texas schools will use the grant funds to offer more Farm Fresh activities in public schools. Grant recipients receive u p to $10,000 per school campus or up to $50,000 per district!

Farm Fresh Fridays Takes Off at Paul Laurence Dunbar Early Education Center!

 
Farm Fresh Fridays at Paul Laurence Dunbar Early Education Center give students of all ages the chance to learn about Texas foods! The early care program is in the Texarkana Independent School District (TISD) and on Farm Fresh Fridays, students celebrated with locally grown strawberries and watermelon from Farm Fresh Network member member Greg Green Farm.These fruits were served to students within 4 days of their harvest!

TDA's Community Nutrition Conference will offer Farm Fresh Network members a special opportunity to network and host one-on-one business meetings with sponsors in the Child and Adult Care Food Program and the Summer Food Service Program.
