Bee Heaven Farm accepts EBT and doubles your SNAP benefits with Fresh Access Bucks, up to $40 on Florida-grown produce and food plants!
We're looking forward to seeing you tomorrow, June 25!
What's in season now at the farm?
We've been impatiently waiting for avocado season to begin, and it's finally here! Ciruelas (aka Jocote) are dropping, we have avocados, a bit of mango and jakfruit, sapodillas, and papaya, plus our dried Fruits of Summer mix and Better Than Candy! singles (nothing added but love).
Summer's hard on veggies in South Florida, but we have purple Daikon, super HOT peppers, tropical Seminole pumpkins, nopales, lemongrass, hoja santa, and curryleaf. We also have some aquaponic Redland-raised lettuces that are amazing, a few of our Heavenly Mix microgreens, and purslane, and Yucca blossoms (Flor de Izote), luffa sponges, our own Rachel's Eggs - both fresh and smoked!, farm honey, Yaupon holly tea., and whatever last-minute goodies we find around the farm.
We'll also have a small selection of food plants and exotic tropical fruit trees. It's rainy season - the perfect time to plant fruit trees and other perennials!
Summer Farm Update
We've been oscillating between unreliable help and no help on the farm, and trying to keep the weeds from swallowing us whole while waiting for cover crop seed to arrive. We're busy doing farm cleanup, maintenance chores, catching up on paperwork..Stay tuned for more news in July.
