Small Business Season 2025

There’s a growing trend among chambers of commerce across the nation to promote small business SEASON instead of small business Saturday, because we all know that one day of shopping local isn’t enough. Please read through this email to learn about what Farmingdale Chamber is doing to promote local shopping throughout the entire holiday season and what you can do to promote YOUR business through our campaign.

Farmingdale Chamber is kicking off Small Business Season with a press conference this Friday, November 21st, 12 noon at Farmingdale Village Hall and we invite all local businesses to join. We will continue with our Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce Annual Holiday Parade this Saturday, November 22nd. The parade begins at noon at Northside School. Come march with us and bring your banners and mascots!

Graphics - Download graphics to help you promote Small Business Season, too, and we’re asking you to use the hashtag #smallbusinessseason and #shoplocal on all of your social media posts. If you have a storefront, please print the pdf and hang the flyer. You can use the jpg version to post on social media.

Get the Word Out about your Holiday Offers - We’ve reworked the ‘deals’ page on the chamber’s website to enable you to post your special offers for Small Business Season or simply to let the community know what you have to offer!

Please log into the member information center

https://farmingdalenychamber.chambermaster.com/login

and post your special offers or share any special events you have coming up.

(There’s a link in the “Welcome Message” where you can post your offer.) We’ll be sharing the offers on social media regularly throughout the season.

If you need assistance, you can email your offers to the chamber at inbox@farmingdalenychamber.org and we’ll get them posted for you.

Video Features – The chamber is videoing and featuring local businesses all season long. If you would like your business highlighted, please reach out to Joanne Benincasa at 516-330-2726 or joanne@jb3insurance.com. Joanne, together with Dave and JoAnn Saul of Marketing Masters, and Daniel Reardon of DCR Media, is managing Small Business Season for the Chamber and will be happy to come and film a short video and post it for you on the Chamber’s social media.

Elf on a Shelf and Mensch on a Bench - We are looking for a home for our little elf and his friend, the mensch. We will move these at least weekly and members can offer to have customers come in to find them and give either a holiday discount, or maybe a candy cane to anyone who finds them. The chamber will promote this, along with the host business.

Please be sure to follow and share the Chamber’s social media posts and participate! This benefits all of our member businesses so let’s make the most of it!

Please contact our small business chair, Joanne Benincasa, (516) 330-2726, to be highlighted by the chamber. We need your photos, your special offers, and any advice you have to offer to make this season prosperous for everyone!
