Farmstand Holiday Weekend Updates

Welcome Back, Weston!

Fresh produce, treats, and animal visits in time for Labor Day. Celebrate the end of summer with us this Saturday, September 5! Grab something sweet from Uhlman's Farm Ice Cream Truck or The Lemon Press, visit the farm animals, explore the pick-your-own flowers and veggies, and enjoy the last days of summer on the farm.

Take a stroll to the animal barn and say hi to our newest addition, Houdini! He's a 1.5 year-old Flemish Giant rabbit who loves ear scratches, napping flopped on his side, and snacking on clover! 

Farmstand Closed Sunday & Monday

Be sure to stock up on fresh, seasonal produce including cucumbers, tomatoes, and summer squash as well as as our seasonal new products including cider doughnuts from Blackbird Doughnuts. The farmstand will be closed Sunday, 9/6 and Monday, 9/7.

FUNDRAISING EVENT

Harvest Weekend

Harvest Dinner & Fundraiser: Saturday, Sept. 26, 5:30-9pm

Join us for an elegant, open air evening to celebrate and support the Hunger Relief Fund at Land's Sake Farm, and critical farm operations. Enjoy a delicious farm-to-table dinner, specialty cocktails, and a live auction - all under the stars. Limited tickets available - get yours today! Not able to attend, but still want to contribute? Make a donation to our Hunger Relief fund here.

Pie Fest: Sunday, Sept. 27, 11am-2pm

Close out Harvest Weekend with Pie Fest! Enjoy a generous lunch from Blue Ribbon BBQ and pie from Mamaleh's while rocking out to live music by Crossroad! Enter the pie eating contest, get your face painted, plant a flower pot with Flower Box Gardens, and take part in family- friendly activities all around the farm.

Volunteers needed for Pie Fest, 9am-3:30pm. Tasks include: setup, cleanup, trash, animal encounters, face painting, temporary tattoos, food service, and parking. Volunteers receive a free BBQ lunch. Sign up below!

FARM WORKSHOPS
Fall Yoga on the Farm
Wednesdays, 6-7pm, $20/class

Connect with your body and the earth in this opportunity to do yoga outside on the farm! Laurel Kulow will guide you through a hatha-style class focused on basic postures and alignment with some flow between poses. You’ll leave feeling more grounded, present, and energized for the day. This class is for all levels - beginners encouraged!

EDUCATION
Afterschool Adventures Await!

Registration is now open for afterschool K-5 education programs at the farm. Participants help care for farm animals, harvest vegetables, cook tasty treats, and enjoy hours of hands-on outdoor education. Every program is a playful mix of learning, laughter and discovery.
