Greetings!
By applying the essential concepts of fashion photography to your portrait and wedding images you can create breath-taking, high-fashion imagery. This seminar demonstrates the ways photographers can utilize these concepts to stand out from the competition, grow their business, and develop a high-end reputation.
In the evening seminar Lindsay will dissect the creative and logistical process of fashion photography, and show you ways to utilize techniques to improve your work. Fashion photography concepts covered include: Locations, concepts, poses, lighting, styling (hair, makeup, wardrobe), post-processing and much more! You will learn how to execute a fashion-influenced shoot by gathering a creative team, and using their talents in best possible way. Lindsay will also address a variety of fool-proof lighting setups and Photoshop techniques to help you achieve the "Fashion Flair" aesthetic. Lastly, Lindsay will teach you a variety of useful marketing techniques and ways to differentiate yourself from the competition. If you are a professional or aspiring professional portrait photographer who wants to create eye-catching imagery with a distinct fashion angle, this presentation is for you. This is not a guide to breaking into the world of fashion photography, but instead how to take essentials from that industry and apply them to improve your own work.
The one day workshop will begin by addressing essential concepts of successful fashion photography including how to gather a creative team, how to generate unique ideas, and logistics of executing a shoot. We will discuss important terminology and expectations of fashion photography like tests (TFCD), magazine submissions, fashion editorials, photography agents, and other topics to help immerse you in the essentials of fashion photography. There will be ample time for Q&A to learn more about the world of fashion photography and the business behind it.
After discussion of these concepts, Lindsay will introduce a variety of her favorite studio and location lighting techniques. Workshop attendees will be given a lot of time to work one-on-one with styled models. Lindsay will cover poses, lighting techniques, and much more. Attn: This workshop is a separate event and has a separate registration. Here is a link to the workshop information page.
