It was title capping time for the karts on Saturday night September 22nd at the Tom Wood Group Indianapolis Speedrome Powered by Lincoln Tech. Circle City Pyrotechnics Junior Faskart feature #1 saw Tyler Morefield earn a very popular victory over Nathan Brown, Ashton Murello, John Hargraves Jr, and Johnny Bishop. The second 20-lap main had Daqua Johnson capture the first win of his career besting Jayden Durham, Noah Perkinson, Donnie Murphy III, and Aden Jones.
Stevie Frost came away as the 2018 Circle City Pyrotechnics Junior Faskart champion. Last year’s points runner-up had a class best 3 feature wins in 2018 along with 9 top five and 11 top ten finishes. It is the 1st title for this three-generation Speedrome racing family. This was the most competitive season ever in the classification.
The Adult Faskarts had one of their best car counts of the season in this final evening of competition. The 30 lap feature was a thriller with track veteran Manny Aguilar going from 4th to 1st in the final half lap to claim the victory. Dave Drinkard was second in the race and the final point standing. Hunter Goodin was third. Kyle Norris had a tough night, but was able to hang on for his first Speedrome championship. The former series runner-up took home a very stout 8 feature wins in 13 events via a pair of 4 race winning streaks.
