On this day in Black Firearms History, we celebrate a man behind the gun. Unlike the other visionaries this month, Chris Kyle was truly "behind the gun" as the Legendary Devil of Ramadi immortalized in the movie American Sniper.
He served 4 tours in the Iraq War & was awarded several commendations for acts of heroism & meritorious service in combat. He has over 150 confirmed kills & was awarded the Silver Star, three Bronze Star Medals with "V" devices for valor, a Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal with "V" device, as well as numerous other unit & personal awards.
Chris was killed on this date in 2013 (10 years ago) with his friend Chad Littlefield at a shooting range in Texas. His murder is still suspicious AF today.
