Happy March! Thinking of creating your own fence inventory for the construction season ahead? This month we compare the
pros and cons of buying or renting.
We would also like to congratulate, Kim, our hard-working Office Coordinator, who is celebrating 15 years at Fast Fence. Thank you Kim!
To rent or not to rent, that is the question. Brent Newburg, Operations Manager for Fast Fence Inc. explains how many customers prefer to rent temporary fencing vs. buying and maintaining their own inventories:
"Our rental customers would rather focus their crews on the job at hand, rather than taking time to transport, install and dismantle their own panels. Fast Fence offers a full-service rental solution: We deliver, we install, we dismantle and we take the fence away at the end of the project. This allows our customers to concentrate on what they do best. Other customers prefer to manage their own inventory, so we always have a variety of fencing options available for purchase."
Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requires "if work on a project may endanger a person using a public way, a sturdy fence at least 1.8 meters in height shall be constructed between the public way and the project." (O. Reg. 213/91, s. 65)
Since the OHSA requires 6' high fencing, most of our inventory is this standard height. We do have an inventory of 8' high fencing available. Please call the office at 416-751-7877 to inquire about availability.
