Dear IMA Members,

The heat is on! I hope this email finds you well, enjoying summer, and keeping cool. As timing would have it, this is my final president’s newsletter since the newly elected board members and officers will assume their positions in August. Therefore, I wanted to take this opportunity to recognize our current board, management team, and members at large who work hard on the initiatives and projects we undertake, making our association a relevant and leading voice in the incentive industry.

To those members who offer their time and talents to the association without a title, I thank you. IMA is a volunteer organization, so without willing members stepping in and helping we could not accomplish the scope of the work we do. I will continue to preach the benefits of getting involved. Your member benefits lie in your participation, so be sure to maximize it by getting involved.

To the board, I would like to thank you for your hard work, guidance and candor. From raising ideas to raising funds, you have taken on your roles as industry leaders and thinkers ambitiously, creating true value for members through opportunity. The board is the engine of the association, working hard to move things forward. Those efforts have reaped notable benefits as well as readied our group for what awaits.

A big thank you goes to the team at Harrington who keeps our association’s business organized and truly managed so we all can work at our regular jobs while participating on the board. They are our organized tool chest; with a funnel to collect all the leaky parts of a project and getting them to meet at the same point, screwdrivers to tighten things down, glue to hold things together and the occasional hammer to tap things back in place. All kidding aside, the work that Karen Wesloh and her team do for this association adds a level of professionalism to the group that is recognized and mentioned by many within the industry and outside of the IMA.

The finishing touches are being applied to the IMA Summit 2022 by our hard working committee. All evidence points to what is expected to be an exciting event, filled with networking opportunities, education, and vibrant speakers. Add our awards ceremony, celebrating the outstanding people and programs this industry should proudly acknowledge, and the beautiful setting of Snowbird, it is obvious that attending this year’s Summit is a good business decision. Registration is due to close Tuesday, July 5 at noon CDT, so be sure to book your room and sign up for the conference. There is still an opportunity to gain some brand exposure by donating items to the Attendee Gift Bags.

In closing, it has been my distinct pleasure to serve as IMA’s president. I hope the personal growth I feel from this leadership journey is evident in the work we accomplished. I would like to thank you for affording me the opportunity to lead this great organization. See you in Snowbird!!
