Blessed Lenten Greetings!
As we often say in Unity / New Thought, "Life is Consciousness." We begin this season of Lent with Release, Reimagination, and Renewal in mind.
How many Hollywood movies and television shows are out there today that are a "reimagining" of a previously-existing series? Have you ever felt as though your life, your past, your belief systems, your religious upbringing, your relationships, or a combination of all the above, were a "previously-existing series," no longer relevant to where you are in consciousness today?
The Lenten season is your opportunity to release the tapes of that old, cancelled series of outdated thoughts, concepts, and beliefs that no longer serve, the "tapes" we've perhaps kept in the closet of our subconscious minds, and reimagine our lives.
What would we love - what is the life you desire? How would you feel, and who would you be without that "previously-existing series" called I CAN'T, or its spinoff series, I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH? You have the Power within you to change your mind, and thereby, change your life.
As Dr. Wayne Dyer often said, "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."
Keeping in mind and heart the 40-Days of Prayer, from now through March 7, we continue to hold this prayer, affirming:
"One Presence, One Power, God.
We are One Family, One Heart,
called to Peace, Love, Strength and Action.
Divine Wisdom guides us now."
Throughout Lent 2026, we will share thoughts and teachings that we hope will support you on your spiritual journey.
Starting Wednesday, March 4, for our MidWeek Renewal program, I will be facilitating a discussion and prayer series, based upon the 2026 Unity booklet for Lent: Release and Reimagine. (Click the image above to order your FREE copy!) The series will run five weeks, concluding on the Wednesday of Holy Week, April 1.
This Sunday, Michele Timmons has an amazing message and workshop on blessings and "The Prosperity Equation." Also, at 1:00 p.m., we will hold a brief Orientation for those who are curious about Unity's Prayer Chaplain Program. Tony Bonardi and his Trio will return Sunday, with vocals by Carisa Holmes!
A "can't-miss" Sunday Celebration, and it's all for YOU! We lovingly invite you to join us in joy and Spirit!

Michele's Bio:
As a former high school teacher and principal who now owns a small educational consulting and grant writing firm, Michele Timmons works diligently to help schools and non-profits change how they educate and support young people.
She became a member of Unity of Columbus in 2023, where she is a dedicated member of the kitchen crew and Growth Committee, and helped the church secure a $100,000 safety and security grant.
After attending the Unity Convention in 2024 and spending two years in the Spiritual Direction program, Michele realized her newest role is to help others go beyond affirmative prayer to discern their divine purpose, using the Prosperity Equation as a framework for manifesting wholeness, wellness, and prosperity.

Celebrating African-Americans In Unity / New Thought
Nanna B. Sutton
Overcoming great physical and mental ailments through the discovery and practice of Truth teachings, Ms. Nanna Sutton attended the Unity Correspondence Course starting in 1911, and, in 1914, became the first African-American Licensed Unity Teacher, or LUT (according to Unity historical records).
She served Unity ministries in Chicago and Harlem, with distinction and dedication.
When asked (in 1948) to give an account of her healing journey, which included overcoming the "appearance" of blindness, tumors, "insanity," and cancer, Ms. Sutton wrote: "These I have known the Truth for and by God's help have been healed."

Tea Party 2026
"Like the lilies of the field, she does not strive; she simply grows in the wild abundance of God’s love." (Inspired by Matthew 6:28)
Save the date for the 2nd annual Unity of Columbus Ladies' Tea Party, Feminine Wilds, on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
Ticket sales will begin in April. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
We expect that the Tea Party will have way more participation this year, so we need more stuff. The Growth Committee is issuing a thrift challenge: We know there are a lot of thrifters in our community, so the person who brings in the most items we can use for the Tea Party will receive a very special gift and recognition as the Baddest Thrifter in Town!
We need:
-Vintage tea cups with matching saucers
-Tea Pots (vintage is great, but not required)
-Vintage luncheon plates
-Vintage cream and sugar sets (matching)
-Items for the silent auction
Items can be dropped off at the Lobby Desk every Sunday, and we will put them in the Tea Party storage area. Make sure your name is on the packages so you get the recognition you deserve. We can’t wait to see who is the Baddest Thrifter in Town!
If you would like to be on the Tea Party Planning Team, sign up at the Lobby Desk.
Questions - see Michele Timmons or Harriette Heibel
