2021 Paint Program Applications are Now Available
Application deadline is February 28th
Free Home Repair

The Age-Friendly Home Investment program administered through the City of Cleveland’s Department of Aging is now available. The program helps seniors over the age of 60 or adults between the ages of 18-59 with a disability address one home maintenance or home repair need. The program also assists with additional referrals to other home repair programs. The program is first-come, first-serve, with a limited amount of funding per ward.
 To qualify, residents:
  • Must be a low or moderate-income Cleveland homeowner aged 60 years or older or an adult age 18-59 receiving disability.
  • The residence must be a single or two-family home that the applicant owns and resides in.
  • Property taxes are current or the applicant is on a payment plan.
  • The property must not be in foreclosure.
Since the program has limited funding and tends to be competitive, Tremont West would like to help residents who are interested in applying. Please contact Community Engagement Specialist Julie Dahlhausen at 216-280-8411 or for additional information.

Support Community Shares
Tremont West is a proud member of Greater Cleveland Community Shares, the only social justice federation in our area! We are one of the 37 member nonprofits that benefit from this collaboration by receiving vital operating support to do our work.
This month, Greater Cleveland Community Shares is the featured nonprofit partner of Nurenberg Paris Law Firm.
Throughout all of February, Nurenberg Paris will be posting on their Facebook page about Community Shares. Each “like” on their page this month will earn Community Shares $5. The money raised from this partnership will go directly to support the foundation of Community Shares’ Youth Giving Circle.
We would love your help in supporting this program! Please like the Nurenberg Paris Facebook page and their posts about Community Shares throughout the month, and continue to spread the word to your friends and family. It’s a simple way to make a HUGE difference. Thank you!

The solution by Empower CLE:
First, supporting students with access to education:
For Cleveland public school families, you can receive free high-speed internet through the partnership with Empower Cle. Moreover, the school system will provide your child with a computer.
That service is now available in the designated area on the map above. To participate in the program, you have to opt-in by calling 216-777-3859. Do not wait till the last minute, call today while supplies last!
For all other residents in the above designated map area:
Even though you do not have a child in the Cleveland school system, you can have high-speed internet in your home for less than $10 per month through Empower Cle. That’s right, no installation cost and no monthly fees. Call 216-777-3859.

There are two other low cost options for students not located in the EmpowerCLE service area:
