Prayers for Father Charlie

As many of you heard, Father Charlie started feeling ill last week and was admitted to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in Brookhaven on Sunday, August 23rd. He is being treated for a bacterial infection that he contracted during his visit to Guyana. Although he became seriously ill and required treatment in the ICU, he is now recovering on a regular hospital floor. Once he is discharged from the hospital, he will continue his recovery at a subacute rehabilitation facility.

Bishop Provenzano has been to visit, as well as his good friend Father Joe Pae of Great Neck. He is currently not up for other visitors. We will let everyone know if that changes. Rhonda and Clint are taking care of Teddy, Father Charlie's dog.

The schedule for services while Father Charlie convalescences are:

Sunday, August 30, 8 & 10 AM - Morning Prayer

Sunday, September 6, 9 AM (one service) - Eucharist with Mother Cecily Broderick from Christ Church, Sag Harbor

Sunday, September 13, 9 AM (one service) - Eucharist or Morning Prayer TBD

Sunday, September 20, 9 AM (one service) - Eucharist with Father Chris Jubinski from St. Mark's, Westhampton Beach

Sunday, September 27, 9 AM (one service) - Eucharist with Mother Cecily Broderick from Christ Church, Sag Harbor.

Please keep Father Charlie in your prayers. If you like to walk, perhaps head to Crescent Beach where he and Teddy sometimes walk. Praying while walking and being in nature can be a powerful force.

We will update you as we learn more.

United in God's Love,
