Father Timothy McGowan: A Journey to Hearing and Connection

This fall, we celebrate Father Timothy McGowan’s remarkable journey back to hearing. At 72, he faced significant challenges due to fluctuating hearing loss caused by an autoimmune disorder, worsened during the pandemic. Thanks to the expertise of Courtney Voelker, MD, PhD, and audiologist Rebecca Lewis, AuD at the Pacific Neuroscience Institute (PNI), Father Tim regained his hearing through cochlear implants. His story highlights not just a restoration of sound but a reconnection with his community and vocation.

Discover more about Father Tim’s inspiring journey in the latest issue of Health Matters magazine and on the PNI blog!
