Tullamore DEW 14yr. Single Malt Irish Whiskey - $74.99

Often overlooked in favor of it's cousin to the north, Irish Whiskey can offer just as much depth and enjoyment as Scotch. Founded in 1829, Tullamore Distillery has a long tradition of producing classic-style Irish Whiskey; triple-distilled with pot distillation and aged in ex-Bourbon barrels. The 14yr Single Malt is then finished in ex-Sherry, Port, and Madeira casks to create a complex sipper. Notes of apple, pear, and lemon all blend beautifully with undertones of sweet vanilla from the bourbon barrels. This is one to savor with someone special!
Rampur Indian Single Malt Whisky - $59.99
Rated #5 on Whiskey Advocate's Top 20 Whiskies of 2017

Looking for a whisky your dad has probably never thought to try? Rampur is one of the newest ambassadors for a blossoming whisky culture in India, and although the whisky is new to the market, the distillery itself dates back to 1943 (the oldest in India). The climate in the Himalayas creates a unique environment where whisky matures much more quickly than in other whisky regions like Scotland and Ireland. The whisky is a non-chill filtered single malt (made from 100% malted barley grown in India). Find hay, toffee, tropical fruits, cocoa, spice, and nutty biscuits on the palate with good length. A great entry to the whiskies of India at an affordable price!

Oban 14yr. Single Malt Scotch, West Highlands - $78.99

For years I bought my Father a bottle of Single Malt Scotch Whisky for Christmas, when I'd visit home from New York. Father's Day is also a great time of the year to buy your Dad the best in Whisky. I love Oban 14 year old Single Malt Whisky because, being on the coast in the Western Highlands, it is a perfect balance between the smooth, delicately sweet classic Highland style and the super peated, smoky style of the islands.
For 200 years the sea air and salt water off the coast has kissed this whisky with aromas of seaweed, tarry ropes, and smoke. The palate does not fully embrace the smoke and peat of the islands, sharing this part of the sea, but rather, it has just a light touch of peat and is thick and full of citrus notes and smooth sweetness.
A lively bridge of styles, the Oban 14 makes a great Father's Day gift for any Dad who enjoys drinking fine Whisky. Slainte!
Quin's 2nd Review (He Really Likes Whiskey) :
I.W. Harper 15yr. Bourbon - $71.99

Founded in 1872, I.W. Harper had been out of the US market for over 20 years, sold exclusively internationally. Re-introduced in 2015, I.W. Harper represents fantastic value at this price point given it's time in barrel and overall quality. Flavors of stone fruit and mild citrus give way to well-integrated oak notes of vanilla and leather. Long finish with a touch of sweetness and solid grip.

2014 Anthill Farms Syrah, Sonoma Coast - $29.99

Anthill Farms is a small project run by three friends who all met in the cellars at Williams-Selyem. Their main focus is pinot noir from Mendocino and the Sonoma Coast; fortunately for us, they happen to make a few excellent syrahs as well. Their Sonoma Coast bottling offers all of the classic reasons we love syrah - plush black fruit, silky texture, pepper, game and savory herbs. Will definitely pair well with a Father's Day BBQ - bring on the meats.

2014 Izadi Rioja Reserva - $18.99

This is a wine which majestically straddles the line between the traditional and the modern. It showcases the emblamatic strawberry and leather characters we look for in Rioja while simultaneously being deeply extracted with a kiss of French oak. This is a great stepping stone into Rioja for a New World wine drinker as well as a perfect compliment for just about anything you could pull off a grill.
