New York Reopening Update
Governor Cuomo has announced most remaining COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted when 70% of adult New Yorkers have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Additionally, NYS schools will no longer be mandated to require that students wear masks outdoors; the individual decisions will be up to local school districts.

Senior Centers Can Reopen 6.14.21
Mayor de Blasio has announced that senior centers may reopen on Saturday, June 14 for in-person indoor programming, following social distancing requirements. Goddard Riverside will have a soft opening on Saturday, June 14 at their 583 Columbus Avenue location at West 88th Street, people should call the center directly at (212) 873-6600 for the most up to date info on opening plans. Their location at 250 West 65th Street will have a soft opening on Tuesday, July 6.

Applications Now Open for Emergency Rental Assistance Program
Applications for rental assistance for low- and moderate-income New Yorkers affected by COVID-19 are now open through the State’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program. Renters and property owners can apply to cover up to 12 months of rental and utility arrears and up to three months of additional rental assistance. To view eligibility requirements and to apply, visit the program website, run by the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.
