In response to the recent Supreme Court decision on race-conscious student admissions, Georgetown President John J. DeGioia issued a statement on the ruling and the university’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
“At Georgetown, we are called to be advocates for what is right and just,” Edward B. Healton, MD, MPH, executive vice president for health sciences, wrote in a message to the GUMC community. "We are called to care for the whole person and to seek social justice, the cornerstone of our shared Catholic and Jesuit identity. These are the shared values we are intent on living out as a university community."
Visit this new website to learn more about Georgetown’s response to this decision and our ongoing work to promote and support diversity in our community.
