September 2016 BUILD UPDATE ~ Monthly E-Newsletter #.0007
September was a mix of race car, truck, trailer, secondary location work and attending/working a couple of S&W Performance Group display events. Since our daylight and mild weather are beginning to disappear, the decision was made to place our focus on completing all 'outdoor' tasks. Of course, on rainy days, we immediately turn our attention back to the cars. Shown Above: Mike Markoski will be painting our truck, trailer and cars. He's starting by sanding the 90's custom paint job off of the truck, in preparation for the USA Auto Supply Philadelphia paint.
Kenny finished the tedious job of drilling out hundreds of trailer panel rivets. Jessica removed the aging DOT and reflective vinyl from the trailer, and Jill began removing loose paint /surface rust from the trailer frame. Rod spent many hours working at our satellite shop construction site.
The Mustang Mid plate is fitted, mounted and ready for Jills engine! With the help of some tall friends, we placed the Nova body back onto Rods chassis. So, he will now continue to fabricate the firewall & tin work. Jill finished cutting the Nova's hinged-tail lights and will next be notching the body for header clearance. Denny assembled and bench tested his new components, before setting up for the intake manifold job.
It was a picture perfect weekend in New York State. Rod & I spent last weekend, promoting S&W Race Cars, at the Dover Nostalgia Drags & Car Show event.
