A Message from Fr. Paul
Dear St. Paul’s Church Family,
This weekend we begin our 2024 pledge drive. Every pledge campaign begins with gratitude, and that is how I want to begin my message to you this year. I am inspired by your generosity – by the incredible things that you did for God’s glory in 2023, by the single acts of love and kindness, and by the unseen work you have done in the service of God and our church community. Thank you, I cannot say it enough.
Our pledge drive this year invites us to name and claim how God has “set our hearts on fire” for our beloved church family of St. Paul’s. In Luke’s Gospel, the disciples who journeyed with Jesus on the road to Emmaus said to each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while Jesus was talking to us on the road, while he was opening the scriptures to us?” [Luke 24:32] In this time when we are invited to commit our time, talent, and financial resources to support the work of our St. Paul’s Church family, I encourage you to join with the disciples on the road to Emmaus in giving thanks to God for the love of Christ burning in your heart.
As the cost of things like property insurance, utilities, and employee benefits continue to rise significantly, we are invited in this New Year 2024 to be as generous as we can be with our financial support of St. Paul’s through our pledge, which is an estimate of our giving for 2024. With our hearts on fire for St. Paul’s, we also commit to sharing our talents and our time to help our beloved church family to proclaim the Good News of Jesus to our community and beyond.
In this season when we uphold our gifts as members of the Body of Christ, I hold you up in light, love, and gratitude. Over the coming weeks you will be hearing from some of our fellow church members about how God’s love is burning in their hearts for our church family of St. Paul’s. You are a gift, each of you, and you are gifts to each other and to a world in need of our love; certainly blessed with every perfect gift that comes from God above.
In Christ, God’s Perfect Gift of Love,
Fr. Paul+

A GALLERY OF HOPE: ART + CLIMATE
Art has the power to resonate with our deepest emotions. Each brushstroke or note can remind us not only of the world’s beauty, but also our own unique role within it. There are so many artists making beautiful, moving, challenging work about climate change. Here are just a few!
That's why I’m so excited by a big change in the Fifth US National Climate Assessment this year - each chapter is headed with a piece of art by one of 92 artists, part of the Art × Climate gallery. It began when the U.S. Global Change Research Program put out a call for art “with the understanding that, together, art and science move people to greater understanding and action.” They received more than 800 submissions in response!

Please help us to keep our mission and ministry strong. St. Paul's staff, operations, community outreach, and our missions to help the most vulnerable are dependent on Sunday offerings to keep afloat. When Sunday offerings decrease, our missions become at risk.
Safe and secure online giving on our website - St. Paul's has a safe and secure electronic donation service available allowing you to make single donations or set up recurring donations. Click the button below to visit our donation page:

Mail - If you prefer to send your pledge or other donation by check, please send your contribution to: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 188 S. Swinton Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33444.

Strengthening Ministries for Tomorrow’s Faithful
To ensure that the work of St. Paul’s lives on, remember St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in your estate planning. With a gift in your will, trust, or in some other way, you can make a lasting impact on those served through the mission and ministry of St. Paul’s.
One sentence in your will can make a lasting difference to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. To leave a gift in your will, simply share this sentence with your attorney or financial planner:
“I hereby bequeath to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Delray Beach, FL, the sum of $ (or % of my estate) to support its mission and ministry (or to the Legacy Fund of the Endowment Fund.)”
To talk with a member of the Endowment Fund Board about how you can continue to support the mission and ministry of St. Paul’s with a legacy gift, please contact Caren Kilpatrick, our Parish Administrator, at 561-276-4541 or caren@stpaulsdelray.org.
