What is a favorite memory of your time at TPM?
When Lisa Fernandez came to speak during a winter camp in 2004, she asked Megan Wiggins (a sophomore in high school at the time) if she wanted an autograph. Megan replied "No, thank you," then asked Lisa if she wanted hers.
How did TPM impact your life?
Whether you took individual lessons or came for indoor team practice during the offseason, you were surrounded by dedicated young women who were all working hard to compete at the highest level. It was a small, but tight community and we pushed each other to become better and achieve our goals. I returned to TPM to give lessons during my internship and was also fortunate enough to complete my grad school capstone project there. The staff believes in developing both the physical and mental side of the game and they gave me the opportunity to work with their young athletes on leadership training that summer. It's rewarding to see the cyclical culture TPM has created where graduates want to return and give back to the sport that has given so much to them.
What are you doing now?
After working in NCAA athletics for 3 years, I moved back to Georgia with my husband Luke. I now work at Lucas Group, an executive search firm headquartered in Buckhead. I still keep in touch with my travel ball teammates and am continually inspired by their ambition and work ethic! Titans for life!
