Hello Friends,

Last week, I shared a technique for working with the Pectoralis Major and Subclavius. This week, I share a follow-up technique to increase movement between the first rib and the clavicle. This can help your clients with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.

Sometimes, it is difficult to remember a technique after watching a video and then trying to practice it. I created a cheat sheet you can use when you practice. It is a PDF file with pictures and a written description of the technique. It also has a QR code to quickly view the video on your phone or tablet.

You can download and print it using this link:

You can view the video here:

First Rib Release

This video will be free to view for one week from this email. After that, it will be viewable only by members of the Massage Library.

Library members can view last week's video, Pectoralis Major and Subclavius.

I recommend watching the video for free as soon as you receive this email. Even better, subscribe to the Massage Library to view this and over 900 videos anytime. Membership is very affordable, and you can cancel it at any time.

I teach this and other techniques in my Assessment and Treatment of Shoulder Pain class.

Enjoy Instant Access to over 900 videos with the

Massage Library

"Every massage therapist should be using this reference." - Erik Dalton

The library gives you access to over 900 videos of massage techniques, including the complete content of these 23 DVDs:

Dr. James Mally

Deane Juhan

Aaron Mattes

Ralph Stephens

The library also has many exclusive techniques not on any DVD.

The techniques are organized in different ways, making it easy to find specific techniques, and to find techniques for specific muscles or areas. Techniques are also linked to related techniques.

When you "check out" techniques from the library you will have the opportunity to comment on them, and to read the comments of others who have used the techniques.

The library is an incredible value for only $7 per month or $72 per year. When you subscribe you lock in that low price for as long as you stay subscribed, even when the subscription price is raised.

Please Support the Library - Subscribe Now

If you like these techniques, please subscribe to the library at www.massagelibrary.com.

A subscription is only $7 per month or $72 per year. I am adding much new content to the library, but I can keep the price down if I have enough subscribers.

When you subscribe, you help keep the price down for everyone and lock in your subscription price. Even when the subscription cost increases, you will never have to pay more than this initial rate as long as you stay subscribed.

There is a link for What's New in the Library in the footer at the bottom of every page. I post links to new additions to the library there.

I added a blog section to the Massage Technique Library with links to other resources for shoulder pain, lower back pain, etc. You will see a link for the blog in the footer on any page in the library, or you can go to massage.library.com/blog

Join the Massage Library today

to view over 900 massage technique videos

organized by technique and condition.

The free section of the library includes free videos and self-care sections, which you can view to get an idea of the library.

The library has everything from all five of my DVDs - Swedish MassageDeep Tissue MassageSports MassageSide Lying Massage, and Massage Cupping. It also contains Resistance Release DVDs with Deane Juhan, Active Isolated Stretching DVDs with Aaron Mattes, Medical Massage DVDs with Ralph Stephens, and many new videos with updated techniques unavailable on any DVD.

It is difficult and expensive to update a DVD when I learn new information or variations on a technique, so I created the library to share new information quickly. In addition, comment forms on each page allow you to ask questions or comment on the effectiveness of a technique, making the library interactive.

A library subscription is still only $7 per month or $72 per year, and you can cancel at any time.

We recently moved the library to a larger and faster server, so pages will load up to four times faster. We also added a favorites function, so you can easily tag your favorite videos to find them again.

The library has some other exciting features:

  • You can play videos on any platform at .5X, 1X, 1.5X, or 2X speed. This helps to see the techniques faster. If you use this feature, please remember to practice the techniques at a slower speed. ;)

  • A search function showing video animations of techniques makes it easy to find content. For instance, if you type "psoas" in the search bar, you will get 38 results. Seeing the video animations with the search will make your selection much easier. You can try it by clicking here.

  • More enhancements are coming soon, including downloadable PDF files with pictures and explanations of techniques, complete with QR codes so you can view the technique on your phone or tablet.

We are currently making many improvements to the library. We may need to increase the

subscription rate to cover the cost of these improvements; however, anyone currently subscribed will retain their low subscription rate.

Library membership is currently only $7 per month or $72 per year (save $12 with a yearly subscription). If you want to lock in this deal, please subscribe at www.massagelibrary.com.

I look forward to seeing you in the library.

Warm Regards,

James Mally
