Adrian Piper is a pioneering conceptual and performance artist who has long challenged perceptions of race, gender, and identity. From her early Barbie Doll Drawings to the street performance Mythic Being, she used wit and confrontation to spark political self-awareness. A trained dancer and philosopher, Piper blurred the line between life and art.
