Tesla Semi Commercial Production Q1 2026


Tesla VP of Vehicle Engineering, Lars Moravy, has announced Tesla’s intention to start building volume of Tesla’s Class 8 truck by the end of 2025 and ramp toward full commercial production in 2026.

Certifications are Critical for EV Production and Maintenance


With the growth of EVs, it is critical for technicians involved in production and maintenance of EVs to have the necessary skills. Certifications include:  


  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence): Well known in the auto industry 
  • AWS (American Welding Society): Ensuring technicians have the precise welding skills needed for the range of materials in modern EVs. 
  • NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills): Certifications for the skills needed to produce EV components.

BMW Eschews Larger Batteries


BMW’s Chief Development Officer, Frank Weber, has said chasing longer range with larger batteries leads to larger carbon footprints. The real effort should be increasing EV efficiency.

2025 Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) Verification Accreditation Training


  • LCFS verifier accreditation in-person training April 14-18, 2025, in Sacramento
  • April 28-May 2, 2025 in the Los Angeles area
  • Applicants who do not currently meet the requirements for lead verifier should consider taking all six courses so that they can be accredited as a verifier and upgrade to lead verifier as soon as the experience requirements have been met.
  • $1,400.00 for courses 2 through 6 (Fast track option)
  • $1,750.00 for courses 1 through 6 (Non-fast track option)
