Wilson & Son Jewelers Celebrates Scarsdale’s 325th Anniversary with Community-Driven Giving
As Scarsdale celebrates its 325th anniversary, one beloved Village business is marking the milestone in a way that reflects both its legacy and its deep commitment to the community. Wilson & Son Jewelers has launched a year-long charitable initiative, pledging to donate $3,250 each month to local nonprofits — with the community helping decide where the funds go.
Executive Director of the Scarsdale Business Alliance, Samantha Reemer, recently sat down with owners Mike and Matt Wilson to learn more about the inspiration behind the program.
“We wanted to do something unique that would be part of Scarsdale’s anniversary — something meaningful that would bring the community into the process,” the Wilsons shared.
Each month, residents are invited to nominate and vote for local charities directly on Wilson & Son’s Instagram page, @wilsonandsonjewelers, making the initiative interactive and community-driven.
The program is already off to a strong start. Friends of the Scarsdale Library was named the January nomination winner — an organization that continues to enrich the Village through advocacy, programming, and support for one of Scarsdale’s most treasured institutions.
“We’re thrilled to announce our January nomination winner is @friends_scarsdale_library, a charity that truly embodies the heart of our community,” the Wilson team shared. “Thank you to everyone who voted. Your voices make a difference, and together we’re proud to give back where it matters most.”
For generations, Wilson & Son Jewelers has been synonymous with craftsmanship, trust, and service. This initiative further solidifies their role not only as a premier jeweler, but as a dedicated community partner committed to strengthening Scarsdale.
The Scarsdale Business Alliance applauds Wilson & Son for transforming a historic anniversary into an opportunity for collective generosity — a shining example of how local businesses help shape a vibrant and connected Village.
Residents are encouraged to follow @wilsonandsonjewelers to participate in upcoming nominations and help spotlight the many organizations making a meaningful impact throughout Scarsdale.

New Year, New Fitness Goals: Pure Physique Recently Opens in Scarsdale
Just in time for those recommitting to their wellness routines, Pure Physique has recently opened in Scarsdale, bringing a fresh, modern approach to fitness to the Village. Designed for busy professionals, parents, and anyone seeking an efficient yet elevated workout, the studio focuses on helping clients feel stronger—both physically and mentally—in just 30 minutes.
Owner Christie says Scarsdale felt like a natural fit from the start. “The lifestyle here is dynamic yet refined, with a strong sense of community,” she shares. “Residents want a fitness experience that’s results-driven and thoughtfully designed. My husband and I are incredibly proud to bring a studio that reflects the sophistication and warmth of Scarsdale while empowering clients to feel their absolute best.”
Pure Physique sets itself apart from traditional gyms with personalized coaching and rotating training styles that keep workouts engaging. The program centers on high-intensity, low-impact resistance training that targets major movement patterns to build lean muscle and support fat loss. Clients can also take advantage of an InBody composition scanner, offering detailed insights into muscle and fat balance for a more comprehensive view of their progress.
A self-proclaimed morning workout enthusiast, Christie believes early sessions create momentum for the day ahead. “Show up early with a coach, a plan, and no excuses,” she says. “I walk out feeling accomplished and ahead of schedule—even before the busy day of being a wife, mom, and business owner begins.”
Her simple wellness advice for even the busiest schedules? Make protein a priority. Anchoring meals with protein helps stabilize energy, supports recovery, and reduces mindless snacking—small habits that can deliver meaningful results over time.
Built on the philosophy “We Build People Up,” Pure Physique is more than a fitness studio—it’s a community-centered space designed to motivate, support, and inspire. As the Village continues to welcome new businesses, Pure Physique is poised to become a go-to destination for residents looking to elevate their health in the year ahead.

Scarsdale Business Alliance Empowers Next Generation Through Youth Alliance Program
The Scarsdale Business Alliance (SBA) is continuing its mission of strengthening the local business community by investing in its future leaders through the Scarsdale Business Youth Alliance (SBYA), a hands-on internship and leadership development program for local students.
Designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world experience, the SBYA gives students the opportunity to work directly alongside local business owners and community leaders. Participants gain exposure to marketing, communications, event management, and business development while contributing to real SBA initiatives and Village-wide events.
Through the program, students attend monthly meetings, support community events, and collaborate on projects that directly impact Scarsdale’s business ecosystem. The experience is designed to build leadership, teamwork, and professional communication skills while reinforcing the importance of civic engagement and local economic vitality.
As the SBA continues to serve as the connector between businesses, the Village, and residents, the SBYA reflects a long-term commitment to building a strong, engaged, and locally invested next generation of Scarsdale leaders.

Home Business Community Pour Brings Entrepreneurs Together
The SBA’s recent Home Business Community Pour at ScentFluence brought together a dynamic group of local home-based business owners for a thoughtful roundtable discussion on “Visibility Without Burnout.” The casual, conversation-driven gathering created space for members to share ideas, exchange strategies, and build meaningful connections within our growing entrepreneurial community.
Fun fact: ScentFluence itself began as a home-based business, founded by Caroline Fabrigas in her Fox Meadow garage — making it the perfect host for this inspiring conversation. Thank you to Caroline and the ScentFluence team for welcoming us and for continuing to exemplify what’s possible when a home-grown business flourishes in Scarsdale.
