Cholla District Weekly Update

February 13, 2026

Dear Cholla Residents,

As we prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, the Arizona America250 Commission is coordinating a variety of events, activities, and other initiatives across Arizona cities over the next several months. On Friday, February 20, 2026, from 10 AM to 6 PM, Arizona America250 will host its signature initiative, the Road to 250: Arizona Traveling Museum, at the City of Glendale's Main Library, 5959 W. Brown Street.

I hope you are able to visit the traveling museum which highlights the history and significance of America's 250th anniversary. Visitors will explore defining moments in American history alongside the people, cultures, and communities that shaped Arizona through engaging exhibit panels, a short looping video experience, and hands-on interactive activities for all ages.

The museum will also feature a replica of the Liberty Bell. This replica Liberty Bell is traveling to all 15 counties before returning to the Arizona State Capital for permanent installation later this year.

Guests are also invited to add their voices by participating in the "Dear America, Love Arizona" postcard activity, sharing personal reflections and stories that connect the past to the present.

In addition to the museum, there will be a family event on the library lawn, complete with food vendors, music, crafts, and games. Click here for all the details of the Feb. 20 event at the main library.

My office is always open and ready to assist you. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns that you may have. I value your input and opinion.

Warm Regards,

Lauren Tolmachoff
