"When I Truly Started Winning"
"Once I began taking time for myself, that's when I truly started winning. My time off the court is just as important as my time on the court, because tennis is just the beginning of my story." –Roger Federer

"The students of Wenjen Piano Studios are musicians, athletes, scholars, artists, scientists, and so much more. Apply your dedication and hard work in your daily practice and striving to be at the top of your game, to everything that you do. No dream is too big, and every dream is worth striving for. I believe in you!" –Ms. Noreen

My sister's book is coming out March 1, 2019! She's a piano teacher with a marketing background, so it's not a surprise that she wrote a book called Two-Year Wait List: An Entrepreneurial Guide for Music Teachers: In my new book, Two-Year Wait...

Teacher's Notes

Happy Chinese New Year! This year, we celebrate the Year of the Pig. According to https://chinesenewyear.net/zodiac/pig/, this is a year to "stick it out" in situations, even if we are feeling frustrated. It's time to catch possible oversights and make improvements today, so when the timing is right, you can enjoy the fruits of your labor. Don't get stuck int the same problem over and over: solve it!

Every student has set short-term and long-term goals. Some have already paid off. I see great progress from all students since the first monthly workshop in September. Our high school students and seniors applying to colleges are anxiously waiting to hear back from colleges. Don't worry, you have worked hard and it will pay off. The student alumni from Wenjen Piano Studios have been overwhelmingly successful, without exception! Click here to see where they are now or to update your status!

I also have many short-term and long-term goals. I will complete my two-year term as state President of the California Association of Music Teachers in July and have enjoyed working with music teachers on my Board of Directors who have vision, passion, and a love of teaching and music. Our membership base continues to grow steadily, especially with young, professional music teachers and collegiate students.

I continue to serve as the MTNA Certification Chair, on the American Music Teacher Editorial Committee, China Certification Task Force Chair for MTNA, and was recently elected Chair of the State Presidents Advisory Council. I am honored to be nominated as a possible SW Director for MTNA in the future.

My book Two Year Wait List: An Entrepreneurial Guide for Music Teachers will be published in March of 2019. Click here to see my book video trailer and enter the book giveaway! Click here to pre-order a book from my publisher at www.audreypress.com

I will be presenting at the upcoming MTNA national conference in Spokane Washington Sunday, March 17, 2019 entitled The Business Minded-Music Teacher: Entrepreneurial and Technology Tips for your Music Studio.

The Year of the Pig will encourage us to take action and write down our short-term and long-term goals that we will work towards each day. Whether you are a student or a parent, don't forget to take time to invest in every aspect of yourself. The best is yet to come!

Warm regards,
