**2007 Isadora Duncan Award nomination for visual design**

The images and ideas for these productions were inspired by the book "Fears of Your Life" written by Michael Bernard Loggins, an artist from Creativity Explored in SF.

Michael Bernard Loggins is primarily a writer and list-maker who often illustrates his texts. Loggins’ writing usually takes the form of notes to friends, issues on his mind (safety, allergies, emotions etc.), or memories. His drawings generally deal with lighter subject matter such as animals, idyllic worlds, and imaginary people. Manic D Press published an extended hardback version of Loggins’ book, Fears of Your Life, a zine featuring a list of his fears, and it was read on NPR’s This American Life in 2003.

Michael’s book was turned into a dance theater music production directed and choreographed by Kim Epifano with Creativity Explored and Axis Dance Company, in collaboration with animator Todd Herman and artist Michael Stasiuk, who created the show’s lifesize puppets, derived from Michael’s original drawings. The show was performed at UC Davis Mondavi Center, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, and at The Marsh with The Marsh Youth Theater in SF.
