It's easy to see the growth that is taking place in our own backyard, but unless you’ve traveled across Florida recently, you may not realize the widespread growth taking place all over our state.
As you look across our state, one truth becomes clear: planting churches isn’t simply a good idea — it’s essential. Every new development represents people and families who need hope, community, and the message of Jesus. We cannot ignore the urgency when eternity is at stake and millions may go to hell on our watch.
Over the past year, we at FCP have been prayerfully asking a bold question: What would it look like to plant 20 churches by 2030? It’s a lofty goal, but in many ways, it’s only a starting point for what must be done.
Today, there are approximately 188 independent Christian Churches across Florida. Imagine if every one of them reached 1,000 people each Sunday. While some already do, most are much smaller. Even at that optimistic number, we would be impacting 188,000 people weekly. An estimated 800 people move to Florida every single day, which means nearly 292,000 new residents in 2026 alone.
Certainly, there are other Bible-believing churches faithfully reaching lost people in our state. But when you consider that more than 24 million people now call Florida home, it’s clear: there are still not nearly enough churches to meet the need. We MUST start new churches to reach more people.
