Keyboard button labeled book The VOS needs your help. We have not yet met our room guarantee at the Westin. If you are planning to attend the meeting in Snowmass in a few weeks (and why wouldn't you be?) we need you to make your reservations through the travel reservations website NOW

As you may know, we guarantee the resort a number of room nights based on previous attendance in order to get the meeting rooms at no charge. If we do not meet this guarantee soon, the VOS will have to pay a hefty financial penalty. We have been given some leniency in the past but with increasing corporate consolidation of resorts, those days are gone and our feet are being held to the fire. If you have not yet made your reservations, please do so soon to save the organization this financial penalty. See you in Snowmass!

VOSEF is responsible for grants and awards.
We do a lot already but want to do more.
Contributing is easy. There are multiple ways.
Keep reading below in the following phrase
You can send us a check or hand over cash.
You can send us silent auction items that sell in a flash.
Or bid at the auction, there will be quite a slate.
You can peruse the items while you empty your plate.
Now you know how you can help, but who do you call.
Contact Maralyn, she's the one that knows it all.
Enjoy the food, drink and entertainment Foundation night
But remember the cause and bid high, all right!
Please support the silent auction with your donations and bids! To donate items, please email Maralyn at and tell her what you will contribute.

OrthoPets logo Location:
Westminster, Colorado
What year was the company started?
What products / services does your company offer?
OrthoPets offers innovative veterinary orthotic and prosthetic solutions for small animal, large animal, and exotics patients. OrthoPets offers a wide variety of off-the-shelf rehabiliation products.
What should Veterinary Orthopedic Society members know about your company?
OrthoPets pioneered the field of Veterinary Orthotics & Prosthetics (V-OP), collaborates with leading universities to publish relevant research on V-OP interventions, and is the only manufacturer to use state-of-the-art 3D manufacturing in-house. These state-of-the-art V-OP solutions can be prescribed for pre-op, post-op, or non-op cases.
Can you explain a challenging situation that your company was able to solve?
V-OP is designed to either create a mechanical environment that enables the patient's biology to do amazing things or to support and stabilize a dysfunctional limb segment. Nakio suffered vast musculoskeletal deficits due to frostbite. The loss of bilateral mid-manus and mid-pez limb segments resulted in complicated instability of the carpi and tarsi coupled with lost balance and propulsive ability. The quad prosthesis solution enabled a mechanical environment to stabilize the carpi and tarsi while encouraging pathofunctional gait while accomplishing stance-phase stability.
Can you tell us about any new products or services your company is developing?
OrthoPets is actively collaborating in both retrospective and prospective research with Colorado State University in the area of elective subtotal amputation with the intention of prosthesis intervention.

Visit the OrthoPets website to learn more.

Nakio with his four prosthetic paws
Nakio suffered vast musculoskeletal deficits due to frostbite and was fitted with four prosthetic paws.
