Blessed Carlo Acutis and Saint Manuel Gonzalez Garcia and the Eucharistic Revival

Please read and share the attached letter from Bishop Johnston regarding the Eucharistic revival and the relics that will be visiting our high school campuses in May.

In preparation for the relics of Blessed Carlo Acutis and Saint Manuel Gonzalez Garcia in May, the Bishop has purchased the book Blessed Carlo Acutis: 5 Steps to Being a Saint for all high school students. In addition, all K-8 schools should have a copy of this book to share with teachers and middle school students. To help our teachers prepare to teach about Blessed Carlo Acutis the following link has been provided to a Resource Pack full of videos and activities to enhance lesson planning for middle school and high school teachers. Go to https://waterfordlismore.ie/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Ascend-YM_Blessed-Carlo-Acutis-Resource-Pack.pdf to print and save the Resource Pack.

World Day for Consecrated Life

On behalf of the Serra Clubs in our Diocese this message is to express their appreciation for helping to spread the message about the purpose of Serra International and service of the four Serra Clubs in the diocese, and their mission to help promote a more positive culture for Church Vocations in our diocese, parishes/parish schools and families. There are four World or National Church Vocation Appreciation Events each year.

This message shares information about the first one for this year: World Day for Consecrated Life.   The resources in the message are a collection from the USCCB, National Religious Vocations Conference, and the US Council of Serra International Vocations Committee. There are several links to videos that provide insights to help share why Consecrated Life is a great value and how the whole Church can celebrate this annual event.  All of the mentioned information and links can be found here.

SEEDTIME - A Diocesan Day of Prayer -Saturday, February 4th.
