According to Van Oss..next years home is slated to remain in Summit County.
The home is produced by Educational Pathways to Innovative Careers program. EDPA is dedicated to providing job-ready skills to high schoolers as well as adults. According to Van Oss the students “are going to discover some hidden talents they didn’t know they had."
Kudos to the Summit County Builders Associations as it was involved raising funds in the community to help buy equipment for the students.
We all know how important the “trades” are to any community. One student felt like he was getting a jump start on his future. “That’s the great thing about this class—it’s applied learning. You’d could build a sole career of of just knowing how to work with wood.”
Van Oss and his students are part of the lifeblood of our Mountain Community..Thank you to all who “made this happen”
