Dear Eden families,
On behalf of the faculty and staff, I extend our gratitude for the confidence you have placed in Eden Christian Academy. We are thankful for the opportunity to partner with you each day to equip your children to fulfill their unique, God-designed purpose. Our highest priority is your child’s academic success and spiritual growth.
At the end of January, each family received an electronic re-enrollment packet for the 2020-2021 school year. As you review the information and prayerfully consider your decision, I’d like to present three benefits that differentiate Eden from other educational choices.

Your child is receiving a Christian education.
Christ and the truth of the Scriptures are in everything we do . We genuinely pursue growing closer to Jesus Christ and we have that same desire for your child. Biblical integration in every class, as well as daily Bible classes, weekly chapels, community service, and mission outreach provide students with real-life opportunities to directly apply the truths they learn, and develop and live out their faith in Christ. Faith and learning go hand-in-hand at Eden as each child moves on their journey to their God-directed future.
Your child is being challenged with high academic standards.
A founding principle at Eden is our  commitment to provide an outstanding education to every student . Each discipline is continually developed to enrich the depth of course offerings and to include Advanced Placement and College in High School course electives. Technology is utilized as a resource to improve student learning. Eden’s dedicated faculty is committed to professionalism in the classroom and to God’s best for each child. We work to prepare students for college and the workplace by teaching life skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and perseverance.
Your child is known individually and encouraged to engage.
Each student is prayed for, known and valued. Our dedicated teachers are as invested in educating them as they are in knowing them, building their character, and preparing them for life. And, from clubs and organizations, to the arts and athletics – students are encouraged to participate and enrich their educational experience . Especially in middle and high school, we have seen that students who are actively involved have a greatly enhanced school experience and gain the most in return. In Eden's safe environment, students can explore new activities and gain confidence in their abilities. Along the journey, they develop relationships and make memories. As an example, students in the Class of 2019 were engaged in the National Honor Society, student council, musicals, robotics, mock trial, athletics, and other activities. And, reports from their first semester of college are extremely favorable from spiritual, academic preparedness, and social acclimation perspectives.
This truly embodies our aspiration for all our students:  a Christ-centered, full, and engaged school experience that translates to your child’s early success at the next level.
On behalf of the faculty and staff at Eden,  we are extremely thankful for the privilege of partnering with you in educating, training, mentoring, and ministering to your child .

We recognize the significant financial commitment you have made and are grateful for the value you have placed on their education. Thank you for entrusting us with your children.

Todd Aiken
Upper School Principal, Chief Academic Officer, Interim Co-Head of School

Currently, of the 27 schools in Region 1 (Allegheny County), Eden is one of nine undefeated teams in the Pennsylvania Bar Association Mock Trial Competition and will advance to the second round of competition. Eden is ranked third heading into playoffs!

Eden’s defense defeated Chartiers Valley team #1 and Eden’s plaintiff side defeated Mt. Lebanon’s team #2. (Both teams we competed against have two teams.)  Eden will compete in Round 2 of the competition on Monday, February 10, at 5:15 pm in the City-County Building.

Congratulations! We are cheering for you in tonight’s competition!

Team members are: Bukola Ajayi, Leia Davliakos, Leah Gloster, Collin Hicks, Sam Hogue, Liz Jacobs, Vivien Kohler, Nathan Moore, Holly Nassif, Noah Reaoch, Wes Rodu, Eli Rogers, Aneeta Sivaram, Trey Tillotson, Isaac Wick, Lydia Wisler, Isaiah Zimmerman. Eden's defense team is featured in today's photo. We will have new team photos after Monday's competition.

One of the largest in the nation, the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Mock Trial Competition gives more than 300 high school student teams from across the state the opportunity to act as lawyers and witnesses in simulated civil and criminal trials before actual judges and panels of juries. Lawyers volunteer to assist students as team advisors, scorekeepers and regional coordinators. Each year, the winning team goes on to represent Pennsylvania in the national competition.

A Not So Terrible Parable
Performed by Berkeley Hills and Wexford students
It was a dark and stormy night . . . a man lay injured by the side of the road. Two travelers passed him by. Mysteriously, he is delivered to the doorstep of the quaint Mountain Vista Inn, where the startled guests, the butler and the maid (of course!), and a famous detective must use their wits to sleuth out every clue to get to the bottom of this mystifying whodunit.
Please join us for mystery, candlelight, organ music, strange pizza toppings, and our host, Alistair McAlister, in this Master’s Peace Theater re-creation of the parable that Jesus told about the Good Samaritan.
Your Eden Experience is our Best Reference
