When you think about someone who is an inspiration in your life, who comes to mind? Some of us may think of a parent or a famous person.  Some of us may think of the grade-school teacher who we will never forget because they saw potential in us when no one else could see it.

What qualities should an inspirational person have?  Would you like to be an inspiration to someone else?  Maybe you already are.  Read below for some qualities to think about, should you decide you want to be an inspiration to others.

It has been 4 years since the book I contributed to, Power of Inspiration: Dare to be the Best YOU! was published.  The process of writing this book was truly an inspiration to me, along with all the other authors who contributed to this book. Thank you all for being my inspiration.

As always, please pass along this newsletter to anyone you feel may benefit from it's content.

Sincerely,

From The Positive Perspective......

This time of year, I always think about one of the biggest inspirations in my life, my Dad.  He would have celebrated his 87th birthday last week and it will be 4 years since his passing at the end of February.  Some of the qualities I saw in him that were an inspiration to me were his dedication to his work and his focus on providing for his family.  He also was a very calm person most of the time.  He did not rush to judgement nor did he raise his voice unless what he was upset about was VERY important.  My siblings and I knew that if Dad got angry, it must be something important, because it didn't happen often.

The best quality of my Dad, though, which was referenced often from others at his funeral, was his sense of humor.  Now you might be thinking, how is that a quality of an inspirational person?  Many of us are so serious in our everyday lives and have a hard time laughing at ourselves and looking at life from the bright side.  As humans, we are very good at looking at life from the negative side.  Do you know anyone who can look at a beautiful, sunny day and see negativity?  Would you consider that person an inspiration?  How about the person who looks at almost every situation and can find some good in it?   Which individual represents you and your personality?

An inspirational person can be the one who simply supports you.  They can be the person who you vent to when times are tough.  An inspirational person can be the one who never gives up, no matter what.  It can be the person who is always striving to give to others.  It can also be the person who knows their limits and can say no when there is already too much on their plate and will not commit to one more thing because they know they will be stretched too thin and not perform well.

I challenge you to look at your life and the people in it.  Who are your inspirations? Tell them.  Share that information with them before it is too late.  We never know how long we are here on this Earth.  Every day is precious. How can you be an inspiration to others?  Start today and make that happen.

Please share with me what qualities you see in the inspirational people in your life.  Until next time.....look at life and your inspirations From The Positive Perspective.

Stay well.
