Information Please!

Over the next few weeks, I will begin work on another church directory. In addition to the generic information needed (address, email, etc.) I will also be asking for your birthdate. I need only the month and day, not the year. The reason I need this information is so we can recognize you in the enews and/or the weekly bulletin. Of course, you are under absolutely no obligation to divulge any information. We just like to recognize our members on their special day! I will be putting a form together asking for information. Fill out as much or as little as you are comfortable with. This will be for church use only. I will let you know how to obtain and complete the form once it is ready!

Thank you so much for your assistance. You ALL make my job here so much easier!

Parking Lot Facelift:

Well, the work has begun and, fortunately, it looks as if we will not be inconvenienced to the extent that we had originally thought. Apparently, the lot will be done in sections as opposed to all at once. While this may take longer to complete, it means that the lot will not be completely closed as had been originally planned. I will update as necessary especially if it appears that heavily used areas of the lot will be inaccessible. Thank you all so much for your patience during this period. The end result will be well worth the headaches I'm sure!

Quick Blurb!
Anyone interested in buying Girl Scout cookies, please contact Melissa in the office. Her grand daughter, Naomi, is selling them! Thanks in advance!

Our annual meeting of the congregation will be on Sunday, February 4 in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the worship service. Please plan to attend!

Please sign the cards on the table in the foyer for our college students (Eli and Erin) and several more for our older members who don't make it out to church with us.    Not too late to start another one if you know of someone else who should have a valentine.    Please get in touch with Martha Loer, 512-447-8012, if you want to add someone.

Drive-a-Senior S. Austin:

They received word they must move from their office at Faith United Methodist Church, which recently closed, and the new church which is using the building doesn't have room for DASSA anymore. If you know of anywhere that has a little office space to share with this wonderful service, please contact Martha Loer, 512-447-8012, [email protected] or go directly to [email protected]    512 445-5552.
In other DaS news, t he number of seniors needing help with transportation keeps growing, and more volunteers are needed to provide this service.   If you can spare some time, even once or twice a month, please think whether you can DRIVE A SENIOR!

Free Yoga Class:

Yoga classes have resumed on Monday afternoons at 5:30. Please join us for a better feeling you!

Contact Becky for more information - [email protected]

Connect With Us:

You will notice a Connection Card in the pew. If you would like to receive our electronic newsletter and correspondence about the life of the church, please let us know how to find you between Sundays by filling out the information you are comfortable giving us and placing the card in the Offering Plate.

You Can Give Electronically, (but we still accept cash and checks as usual!):

How does it work? Scan the QR code below with your smartphone. There are no additional fees for you as the donor. However, as with all such transactions, an administrative fee of 1% will be deducted from your gift before it is delivered to our church. This one-time fee is for the reasonable and customary costs of operation of the Presbyterian Mission Exchange which hosts our electronic giving. If you pay by EFT option, this will be the full extent of the fees deducted. Gifts made using a credit or debit card will be assessed an additional fee of 2.598%+$0.26 (deducted automatically by our card processing vendor). Your full donation, which includes all the fees, is tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
