5th Annual MLK National Day of Service &
East Palo Alto Mayor's Tree Planting

Over 300 volunteers joined Canopy and Grassroots Ecology to celebrate MLK Day on Monday, January 20. More than 120 acorns, saplings, and native plants were planted along San Francisquito Creek in East Palo Alto.

East Palo Alto Mayor, Regina Wallace-Jones planted a special valley oak which represents a commitment by Canopy and the City of East Palo Alto to work together towards creating a greener East Palo Alto. Thank you to all the volunteers, city officials, and community partners who joined us to celebrate our 5th Annual MLK National Day of Service. See photos from the event here.
24th Annual Awards Ceremony &
Palo Alto Mayor's Tree Planting
The Canopy community came together again on January 30 for our 24th Annual Party at Mitchell Park Community Center in Palo Alto. Guests enjoyed a night of friendship and celebrating Canopy's incredible awardees.

Just like East Palo Alto Mayor Regina Wallace-Jones, Mayor Adrian Fine, continued the Canopy tradition by planting a valley oak at Mitchell Park in a special ceremony which preceded the Awards Ceremony. This tree will provide a host of benefits to the community for years to come. See photos from the event here.
