FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER

Lenten Series

Have you ever chosen one path even though it was clear that God was leading you toward another? Maybe your desire for a certain thing or outcome was so strong that you chose not to seek God's will.  Maybe you were so sure that your choices were correct, that you didn't look to God for direction, or an affirmation.  Maybe you were afraid that God would point you in a way that was uncertain or unknown.

During the season of Lent, we'll be considering the story of Jonah and the challenges he encountered on his way to discovering that God's will, always leads to Grace.  So please, gather with us during worship on either Wednesday (12:09 pm and 6:30 pm) or Sunday to hear this message of God's unrelenting love for God's people.
Ash Wednesday 6:30 p.m.

DAY SCHOOL NEWS
day schoo letterhead

January has come and gone, and to beat the winter "blahs" we have brightened things up with a load of new equipment provided by our parent group, CLASS.  They provided a beautiful reading center in the lunchroom that serves to occupy children who have finished their meal and need something constructive to do!  The wooden benches with cushioned seats and book case, along with a few meal related toys like a tiny BBQ pit and campfire are just the right thing!

We are so thankful to have the continuous support of our dedicated parents to keep things fresh and interesting!  The  school has also purchased a large  storage building, and are happy to have another place to accommodate our growing program!  With spring right around the corner, we have just had a fresh load of mulch distributed on the church and school playgrounds.  "Thank you" Jim McCune!  We are ready for good weather and good times!

February should be a quiet month, but we look forward to the many Valentines parties and festivities to come.  We will start planning with the Master  Gardeners for our spring garden projects and be gearing up for a spring playground workday.  It's the best time of year for growing our love and understanding of God's amazing world.

Blessings, Ginny Gaskamp
