Exciting Progress on our Church Renovation Project:

Our Renovation Committee has been hard at work ensuring the safety and future of our parish facility. We recently completed important structural work under the hall to make it secure for everyone.

Next, we are continuing to collaborate with our architect on the final set of plans. Once these are complete, we will meet with the town to move forward with the next phase of this exciting project.

Thank you to everyone for your support and prayers as we work together to strengthen our church and community for generations to come!

Community Transformation Team

CTT Update:

We met recently with our neighbors from the Merriam Hill Association. We discussed our future plans for renovating the church. Colby, our Architect, was present and answered many questions. She assured the neighbors that we would welcome their ideas about the Design of the outside of the church. The majority liked the Schematics for Plan C. Our meeting was very positive and we will keep everyone updated on our progress.

Their one issue was about Parking and we said we would let the Parish know about our recommendations. Please follow these guidelines:

1.    Leave 5 feet clearance from driveways. Please do not block anyone’s driveway.

2.    If you can park in the Lexington lot that is close to the church, please make this a habit. It is a 3 minute walk to the church. I parked there on Sunday and found it a pleasant alternative to parallel parking!  We understand that there are special circumstances that may prevent this.

3.    We want to be good neighbors to our friends from the Merriam Hill Association. Thank you!

We would also like to inform you that the Structural work under the Hall was completed last week. New joists were added to increase the safety of the Hall floor. We thank you for voting for the funding that allowed this to happen.

Please check out our website where we provide all the latest information and developments regarding the transformation of our facility.

If you have any questions, please contact Carol Bearse Mackintosh.

2025 FINAL UPDATE

Philoptochos

PHILOPTOCHOS NEWS:

We have had a very busy December! We want to thank all who baked for our St. Nicholas Celebration. It was a beautiful evening!

A huge thank you to all who supported our bake sale, with baking and by buying our homemade goods. We cleared just over $1300 to go towards our amazing charity work.

Our Christmas Party was a huge success with 40 women attending. We had a beautiful meal catered by Dolphin Catering. The Yankee Swap was fun, as always, and a great evening was had by all.

Come and join in the fun ~ we would love to have you come and bring your ideas!

Lending Library

NOTES FROM THE LIBRARY:

Spiritual Counsels of Saint Paisios (6 vol. set) now available! St. Paisios the New (1924-1994) was one of the most loved and revered Elders of our times. Living as a monk on Mount Athos, he spent his nights in prayer and his days guiding, consoling, healing, and giving spiritual rest to countless people who took shelter in him. The wise spiritual counsels of the Elder have been collected in these six volumes under the following titles: With Pain and Love for Contemporary Man, Spiritual Awakening, Spiritual Struggle, Family Life, Passions and Virtues, On Prayer.

Please email the library if you have any requests or questions, we'd love to hear from you.

Fellowship

REMINDER:

Do you enjoy a nice cup of coffee and a piece of pastry following each Sunday’s Divine Liturgy? Of course, you do. That’s why we’re asking those who have not sponsored a Sunday fellowship hour in a while to please sign up for the many opening dates available. We all like to chit-chat with our fellow parishioners with a coffee in-hand. So, please step forward. It’s real easy…..all you need to bring is some pastry (nothing fancy) and a gallon of milk. The church supplies the rest (napkins, plates, cups, etc.). If you have questions, just call the church office.

Thanks much for answering this appeal. We all will appreciate and thank you.
