Congratulations to the Ole Award Winners for 2019!
This week, we are sharing three award winners, with the remaining four next week.
Industrial New Construction Honoree
The Raddant Industrial Center, 1100 N. Raddant Road was honored in this category. Accepting the award for the building owner Midwest Industrial Funds was Mike Androwich. The 102,000 squar foot facility is currently leased to DHL and FONA International.
Industrial Remodeling Honoree
Alfagomma Aurora TF, 950 Douglas Road, was honored in this category. Accepting the award for this manufacturing facility was Rita Lee and Joe Reddy. Alfagomma is a global leading manufacturer of hydraulic and industrial fluid handling systems who invested more than $6 million in building improvements and equipment for their facility, which opened in 2018.
Green Ole Award
The Batavia Environmental Commission fielded the applicants. They looked for those businesses who improved water quality and water conservation, were energy conscious, promoted healthy ecology, were more sustainable in their waste management, improved air quality and/or educated employees.

The commission chose Mill Creek Early Childhood Program, 510 South Batavia Avenue, as the recipient for their extensive efforts in the environmental education of their students. Accepting the award were Owners Ilana and Dan Marczak along with their children Bri and Abi.
Members in the News and Local Happenings

On Friday, April 24, 2020 Changing Children’s Worlds Foundation will hold its spring fundraising event “Stand Up for Kids: Be Their SUPERHERO” from 5:15 pm to 8:15 pm. For the second year in a row, FONA International and its Founder/CEO Joseph Slawek will be supporting CCWF and hosting our event Read the entire news release .

Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity is going to be building in Batavia and Aurora. 

We are presently looking for families who qualify for our program to come to one of these Orientation Meetings. If you know families who live in Batavia and Aurora who are in need of affordable housing, please give them this information and have them register for one of these Homeownership Orientations. Applications will be handed out after each meeting. Tickets are $100 each and only 1,000 will be sold. Winner has a chance to win a vehicle of their choice—either a 2020 Buick Encore or 2020 Volkswagon Tiguan. You do not need not be present at the Gala event on Saturday, March 7 at the Q Center to win.
