Registration Open for Clean Gloucester Weekend
Clean Gloucester Weekend Spring 2021 will be held March 26-28, 2021. The Gloucester Clean Community office provides trash bags, buckets, grabbers, road signs, and safety vests for registered cleanup teams. Because Clean Gloucester Weekend is the same weekend as Daffodil Fest this year, each cleanup team captain will receive a free potted daffodil from the Gloucester Master Gardeners!
Community members are encouraged to pick a spot to clean, choose their group, then sign up online to request equipment at this website: https://tinyurl.com/CleanGloDay . Using the quick and easy online signup form, participants can indicate their choice of picking up their supplies indoors, or via contact-free outdoor pickup. All equipment is sanitized twice before community members receive it. Cleanups can be completed anytime during the month of March to be counted toward the Clean Gloucester Day totals, so sign your family or group up now!
Friday, March 26 is included in the official Clean Gloucester Weekend to encourage local businesses to allow their employees to participate in cleanups during work time. Businesses or their employees can sign up teams to borrow equipment using the same online form, above.
Questions? Contact Clean Community Coordinator Elisabeth Wilkins at cleancommunity@gloucesterva.info . If you cannot sign up online, give the Parks, Recreation & Tourism office a call at 804-693-5370 and we can do the signup for you.
