St. Anne Catholic Church
A "Few" Words from Fr. Robert
Lent Begins February 17th
Even though there is some light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, it looks like this Lent will once again be centered in the homes of good Catholic families or the domestic Church. We have put a complete weekly schedule of Lenten devotions in the bulletin and on our website. All of our Lenten devotions except Confession will be held virtually and in-person, respecting social distancing and all of the precautions we have had in place for almost a year. It is our hope to pass on to our families suggestions they can use at home and live Lent 2021 in the best possible way. I was so impressed with how many of our parishioners lived Holy Week at home last year. May we face Lent with the same conviction and resolve.
Positions Available
Please help us spread the word that St. Anne Catholic Church and St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School have two positions available. We are looking for a new Director of Religious Education for our church and a Campus Minister for St. Anne-Pacelli School. These are important positions.

Director of Religious Education
The Director of Religious Education is responsible for our Religious Education program and the sacramental preparation program of our children. It is definitely a labor of love! Applicants have to be practicing Catholics with some knowledge of our faith. Sometimes people with a background in education apply for positions like this. It is a part-time position with flexible hours and it is an opportunity to continue to spend time with children. Some of the best DREs I have had are good Catholic moms with no background in education. They bring a whole new practical perspective to the program and can easily learn the ins and outs of being a DRE on the job. A person interested in this position could work with current DRE Suzanne Zimmermann the remainder of this year and be ready to assume complete responsibility next year when Suzanne retires.

Campus Minister for St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School
We are also looking for a Campus Minister for St. Anne-Pacelli. This person would be responsible for the pastoral life of our beautiful school, including the planning and organizing of the school’s liturgical life, community service, and a retreat program for all of our middle and high school students. A bachelor's degree in Religious Education and/or Theology is required. This is an exciting opportunity to build something beautiful for our students and our school, something that will help our students continue to practice their faith long after they have graduated.

Please see the articles in the bulletin concerning both of these very important positions and share them with anyone who might be qualified and interested.

Faith-Based Residential Community for People with Special Needs
A small but very dedicated group of parishioners is dreaming about a faith-based residential community for people with special needs. What a blessing it would be for Columbus to have such a program. The organizers envision modeling their program after a L’Arche community. L'Arche is an international private voluntary organization that works for the creation and growth of homes, programs, and support networks for people who have intellectual disabilities. Today, it is an international organization operating 153 communities in 38 countries, and on five continents. If you are interested in sharing this dream please contact Bob Spano at info@maggieshouse.org.

Forgiven
This weekend the trailer for “Forgiven” will be shown before all Masses. It is a beautiful program which tries to help people understand the meaning and practice of the important Sacrament of Reconciliation. Please consider watching this program as a family. We hope to offer additional opportunities for confession during Lent. Please see the schedule in the bulletin.
